AMC Service & Maintenance Scope
AMC Service & Maintenance Scope
Foamtech Antifire offers comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for Engineered / Pre- Engineered Novec 1230/FK5-1-12/HFC227ea Clean Agent Extinguishing system. All servicing, installation, and inspections are conducted by our trained and certified professionals in accordance with the system’s manual, unit nameplate instructions, and applicable safety codes.
General Guidelines
To ensure continuous and optimal operation of the Foamtech Extinguisher Units, a regular maintenance schedule is mandatory. This also helps maintain the validity of the product warranty.
Each unit is accompanied by a Service Log that must include:
- Inspection intervals
- Inspection procedures performed
- Any maintenance done as a result of the inspection
- Name of the inspector
Note: System shutdown is not required during maintenance. It is not possible to isolate the system’s power without also triggering an alarm or shutting down the enclosure power.
Maintenance Procedures
Quarterly Inspection
Performed by the Foamtech team to ensure:
- Unit is in proper position
- Tamper indicators are intact
- Maintenance certificate/tag is in place and legible
- No physical damage (cuts, discoloration, or dirt build-up)
- Pressure gauge is within operable range
- Protected equipment/hazard has not been changed or relocated
- If a pressure-operated switch is installed:
- No leaks (checked using soapy water)
- Proper electrical connections
- Supervisory switch is correctly connected to detect low pressure
Semi-Annual Inspection
This includes all quarterly checks plus:
- Weight verification of the extinguisher unit
- If agent quantity drops by more than 5% or pressure drops by over 10% (adjusted for temperature), the unit must be refilled or replaced
- Full depressurization, disconnection, weighing, and reinstallation of the unit
Services Not Covered Under AMC
- Post-Fire Recharge: If the system discharges due to an actual fire or tube rupture, the cost of refilling and reactivation is chargeable.
- Panel Servicing Damage: The client must notify Foamtech whenever the electric panel is serviced. Any damage to the tube or system during this process is not covered under AMC.
- High Temperature Exposure: Tubes exposed to continuous temperatures above 60°C may become brittle and fail—this is not covered under AMC.
- Physical Damage: Any intentional or accidental damage to the tube is excluded from AMC coverage.
