FLAMAX PYROEX is a dry powder designed for metal and metal alkyl fires. It is a metal base and coated with specialty additives. FLAMAX PYROEX powder extinguishes the flame, adsorbs fuel/heat from the burning compound, and prevents re-ignition. This powder provides a blanketing effect, thereby cutting off oxygen and the heat radiation from the burning surface. Radicals of powder react with the free radicals responsible for the fire propagation. This results in the retardation of the fire propagation chain reaction.
